Who we are

The Russian Club also known as The Russian Insurance Club is a semi-formal network of business professionals. Established in 1995 in London by Risto Talas (at the time J.L.Jones & Ors, Box 093 Lloyd's) with active support of Tony Peck (then Regional Executive, Lloyd's of London) and participation of many Lloyd's syndicates and international insurance and reinsurance brokers The Russian Club has grown steadily over the past 10 years. It has about a hundred regular attendees - brokers, insurers, bankers, surveyors, lawyers, accountants, linguists and other business professionals, who in turn have access to a wealth of contacts in industries, professions and finance.

What we do

The core purpose of the Russian Club is to promote co-operation between the London insurance market and Russian and FSU insurance companies and other businesses. The Russian Club facilitates information exchange and assists with sharing contacts. In Russia the Russian Club is well regarded by the Russian Union of Insurers, the Russian Insurance Supervision (Rosstrakhnadzor) and some Russian MP’s (Duma members) involved with insurance issues.
